Ruben Garcia Colon passed suddenly on March 31st, 2022. Ruben was born on September 27th, 1954 in Boston, Massachusetts. Ruben attended college and proceeded to join the Airforce in his young adulthood. Ruben later became a manager at a company called Walnut Street Center where he worked with compassion to assist people with different disabilities and handicaps in the community. Ruben was blessed with having his first son Christopher Colon of Boston, MA. He then married Francine Komar and was blessed with four more children and a grandson. He is survived by two daughters Jessica Colon of Rye, NH; Sonya Colon of Sanford, ME; two sons Anthony Colon of Rochester, NH; Pruitt Colon of Dover, NH; and his grandson Avery Colon of Rochester, NH. Ruben was predeceased by his father Valeriano and mother Elisa Colon, as well as his brother Edward Colon. He is survived by brother Luis and wife JoAnn Muniz of Dover, NH; sisters Joanne Doren of Hyde Park, MA; Patricia Colon of Roslindale, MA; Elizabeth and husband Bruce Collins of Quincy, MA; Christine Colon of Weymouth, MA; and brother Richard Colon of Chelsea, MA. Ruben was an uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a cousin to more. Ruben would say he did not like attention, but he was often the center of attention due to his wit and charm. Ruben was described by his son Anthony as being intelligent, funny, charismatic, as well as having an innate ability to talk with strangers with ease. His daughter Sonya would describe him to be spontaneous, outgoing, and tenderhearted. Ruben loved to surround himself with family and was known for his ability to cook delicious Puerto Rican dishes. Ruben loved to make people laugh; he loved to talk about movies, music, politics, relationships, and life. Ruben loved to dance, had a laugh that would light up a room, and a knack for leaving an impression on people’s lives everywhere he went. Ruben has a very large family; he will be loved and missed by all. Let us all rest knowing he is now at peace and that he will be forever held in all of our hearts.
