Gail Lynn Headrick of Ventura, California passed away March 28, 2022 at the age of 66. Gail was born July 9, 1955 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Glen and Carole Headrick. Gail was an active member of Broadmoor Baptist Church and a straight A, honor roll student throughout her years in school. Gail graduated from C.E. Byrd High School in Shreveport in 1973, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 1977.
Gail was a huge LSU Tiger football fan all her life, as well as the Houston Astros. Gail endured many hardships but continued to overcome them and kept a joyful heart. She was active at The River Church in Ventura and when settled into a place of her own she advocated for the homeless.
Gail is preceded in death by her father, Glen Headrick, and brother Paul Headrick. Gail is survived by her sons, Todd and Adam Blasingame, her mother Carole Headrick, her brother David Headrick and her sister Susan Reiter (Paul). Gail is also survived by two grandchildren, nephews and great-nieces. Any donations may be given in Gail’s memory to the American Cancer Society. Our family would like to thank the many people who showed Gail love and kindness during her years in California.
We are deeply saddened by Gail’s passing but are confident that although she is absent from the body she is present with the Lord. We will be together again.
