Anne M. (Hafner) Brennan, age 92, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, with her granddaughter Jennifer at her side on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at the Life Care Center of Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late John D. Brennan, Jr., who died on July 3, 2002.

Born in Frankfurt, Germany on September 25, 1929, she was a loving daughter of the late Heinrich and Maria (Priester) Hafner.

Anne lived in German till the age of four. Her family later moved to France, where she was educated and at the age of fourteen, became a dental assistant. In 1947, she moved to the United States, first settling in New Jersey and later to Mansfield, where she had made her home for the past fifty-six years.

A dedicated homemaker to her devoted family, She was an active member of the former First Christian Church in West Mansfield, where she belonged to the church mission circle and served as a former church treasurer.

Anne’s family and friends were the essence and focal point of her life. She was an avid reader, loved to entertain and educate others on her upbringing. Anne will always be fondly remembered for her pies, cinnamon rolls and her famous “granny’s cookies”.

She was the devoted mother of the late George D. Krueck. She was the loving grandmother of Jennifer L. Wilson of Plainville and the mother-in-law of Susan E. Krueck of Plainville. She was the cherished great grandmother of Victoria J. Wilson and Haylie Anne Wilson. She was the dear sister of Lisa Mundy of North Carolina and the late Lina Miller. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, January 14th from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at the conclusion of visitation at 6:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home. Burial will be held privately at a later date at the Spring Brook Cemetery in Mansfield.

In lieu of flowers, Anne’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Eye Foundation of America, 695 Westview Avenue, Morgantown, West Virginia 26505.
