Obituary

Anne Louise (Keefe) Lyons of Dedham passed away on December 20, 2021 at the age of 83. She was the beloved daughter of the late William and Helen (Norton) Keefe of Roslindale. Anne is survived by her loving husband of sixty heartwarming years, John Lyons of Dedham, her daughter Suzanne Weeks of Dedham, her son David Lyons of Boston, her daughter Elaine Madden and her husband Christopher of Kennebunk, ME, her daughter Pamela Riley and her husband Brian of Dedham, and her daughter Jennifer McCormick and her husband John of Dedham. Anne was an amazing Nana to her nine grandchildren: William Weeks, Thomas, Lily and Audrey Madden, John and Max Riley, and Mabel, Maggie and Meryl McCormick. Anne was adored by her siblings John Keefe and his partner Sheryl of Wrentham, the late Patricia Joyce, Mary Venditti and her husband Carlo of Norwood, and William Keefe and his wife Pamela of Laguna Beach, CA. Anne was a wonderful aunt to her cherished nieces and nephews and was a devoted, loyal friend to many. People gravitated towards beautiful Anne and her warm heart.

Anne’s Golden Rules of Life were 1) Work hard, 2) Tell the truth, 3) Do the right thing and 4) Above all else, BE KIND!

Anne received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from the State Teachers College at Boston and was a teacher in Millis and Dedham for many years before retiring from Brockton Public Schools. She was also a long time real estate broker in Dedham.

Anne loved summers at Great Herring Pond, sunset boat rides, cooking feasts for her family and friends, and baking the world’s best goodies including Irish breads, pound cakes, raspberry bars and blue ribbon brownies.

She was an avid reader and loved her trips to the library. Anne was a lifetime learner and never missed an episode of Jeopardy. She was smart as a whip while always remaining humble. She loved to laugh and had an incredible sense of humor and wit.

Anne’s kindness and generosity were boundless and she donated to many charities that were near and dear to her heart, especially those involving children.

Anne's inner strength, grace, and dignity shined through in everything that she did. She lived an exemplary life and always had a kind word for everyone. Her love and devotion to her family is something they will cherish forever and carry with them in their hearts always. #TeamRascal.
