Rose (Frontera) Parisi of Medford, formerly of the North End, passed away on December 16th, at the age of 98. Born in Boston on March 12, 1923 to the late Vincenzo and Gaetana (Moscarella) Frontera of Terrasini, Sicily and the North End. Beloved wife of 71 years to the late Peter P. Parisi. Devoted mother of Vincent and his late wife Denise (Pederson) Parisi of South Boston and the late Anthony and his surviving wife Nancy (Conti) Parisi of Somerville. Cherished grandmother of Peter G. Parisi of Milton; Toni-Ann Squillante and her late husband Joe of Somerville; Andrea Parisi and her husband Aaron Hand of Mission Viejo, CA, (formerly of Norwood); and the late Mark Parisi of Norwood. Adored great-grandmother of Gianni Parisi Squillante of Somerville and Elizabeth and Peter Hand-Parisi of Mission Viejo, CA. Rose was predeceased by ten siblings: James, Michael, and Philip Frontera and Sarah Lovasco of Boston; Salvatore Frontera and Jennie Ciaramitaro of Gloucester; John Frontera of Everett; Mary Palazzolo of Medford; Pauline Indelicato of Billerica; and Mary Gizzi of Woburn. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. “Grandma Rosie,” as she was lovingly known, will be remembered by countless friends, near and far, who were the recipients of her delicious cookies.

Rose's visitation will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday, December 21st, from 9:30 to 11 AM, followed by a funeral Mass celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 11:30 AM. Interment will be private.

Rose’s family kindly requests that all guests wear a mask upon entrance to the funeral home and church.
