Denomy, Joanne M. (Curley) Of Jamaica Plain, formerly of Dedham, passed away on December 11, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Donald J. Denomy. Devoted mother of Brenda Ludvigsen and her husband Joe, David Denomy and his wife Helen Bellar, Michael Denomy and his wife Katrina Anderson, and Brian Denomy and his wife Valerie. Sister to the late Richard Curley and his wife Terri, and Kathleen Hart and her late husband Ross. Grandmother to Sara, Kevin, Hannah, Kylie, Nicholas, and great-grandmother of Rowynn and Easton.
Joanne was born in Dorchester and was a graduate of Dedham High School. She was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Church, Dedham, and the St. Mary’s Sodality. Joanne retired from the Dedham School System where she worked in the Administration Department.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham on Sunday, Dec. 19 from 2-4pm. Her funeral will take place from the funeral home on Monday, Dec. 20 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Mask use is encouraged during visiting hours and the Funeral Mass. Private interment in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
