Risio, William “Bill” of Needham Heights and Quincy. December 8, 2021. Bill was born on June 14, 1942 in Quincy, MA.

Beloved husband of Mary Creeden Risio for 34 years. Uncle of Lisa Quimby and her husband Steve of Augusta, ME; Mark Risio and his wife Dee of Milford, MA; Amy Risio of Whitman, MA; Lori LaPointe and her husband Michael of Southbridge. Cousin of Vincent Ialenti and his wife Sharon of Gardner, MA and Rosemary Wissing and her husband Richard of Columbia, MD. Brother of the late Donald Risio. Brother in law of Frank and Ruth Creeden of Kansas, John Creeden and his wife Carole Martin of CT, Robert and Barbara Creeden of Virginia.

Bill worked for American Express Division of Merchant Services for 42 years
Graduate of Archbishop Williams High School 1960 and graduate of Boston College, Class of 1967.

Bill was a member of St. Bartholomew’s Parish, Adult Choir
and Newton Swing Band. He enjoyed spending time after retirement traveling to Hilton Head (SC) and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.

In Bill’s own words, “I am an ordinary guy who loved spending time with his wife and friends". He loved music, Archbishop Williams High School, Xaverian Brothers High School, Boston College and American Express.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave. Needham on Tuesday, December 14, at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Bartholomew Church, Needham, at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Monday from 4-7pm. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Needham. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Archbishop Williams High School (Braintree, MA) or Xaverian Brothers High School (Westwood, MA).
