Obituary

Robert H. Morton, 86, of Fall River, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of V. Joy (Costa) Morton, they were married for 48 years.

Born in New Bedford, son of the late James R. and Irene (Duerden) Morton, he had lived in Fall River since 1976. Mr. Morton served his country in the United States National Guard during the Bay of Pigs Invasion. Prior to retirement, he worked as an offset print presser at Baker Manufacturing Company in New Bedford and also worked several years as a custodian for the Fall River Police Department. He loved the Atlanta Braves and New England Patriots, his dog Winston and most of all his family.

Including his wife, he is survived by 2 sons: Steven J. Morton of Westport and Gary Gosselin of Somerset; 2 daughters: Kimberly A. Jagmin of Westport and Laurie-Ann Gosselin of FL; a brother: James Morton of New Bedford; a sister: Cynthia Bentley of New Bedford; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was grandfather of the late Christopher Morton and brother of the late Ronald J. Morton and Deanna Dupuis.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, November 26, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Home at 7:00 P.M.

Visitation will be Friday from 4 - 7 P.M. prior to the service.

Interment will be private.
