Obituary

Andover — Marianna “Mary” (Tine) Marino, a longtime Andover resident, died Wednesday at Edgewood, North Andover at the age of 100.

She was born in Lawrence, MA, the daughter of the late Francesca (Malignaggi) and Sebastiano Tine. Mary attended Lawrence High School, Burdett College, and Bryant McIntosh. Before marrying Sebastian Marino, her husband of 62 years, Mary was employed as a secretary at the American Woolen Company and Kraft Cheese Company, both in Lawrence. While raising her three children, she worked as a secretary at Merrimack Boiler Works and for History Professor, Edward Roddy of Merrimack College. Later she worked as a real estate broker for the Arundel Flanigan McCoy, Treffry, and Fred Bradley agencies. She loved to entertain and cook for her family hosting Sunday dinners and holidays at their residences in Andover and summer home in Rye, NH. Mary had an eye for art and design, took up watercolor painting, and enrolled in Graphic Design classes at Northern Essex Community College in her sixties. She was an active member of the Italian Woman’s Club, Merrimack Valley Artists Guild, Shawsheen Village Women’s Club, and Andover Garden Club.

Mary was the loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother of her close family. She is predeceased by her husband, Sebastian “Bud” Marino, and is survived by her three children, Laura (Marino) Gresh of Ipswich; Janice (Marino) Copeland and her husband, Michael Copeland of Derry NH; Richard Marino and his wife, Mary Ellen (Davey) of Newburyport; five granddaughters; Lisa (Marino) Mosquera and her husband, Justin Mosquera of Newburyport; Caitlin Marino of Newburyport; Courtney Marino of Sherman, Oaks, CA; Alana Copeland and her husband, Anant Nyshadham of Ann Arbor, Michigan; Cara Copeland and her husband, Alex Campbell of Merrimack, NH; three great-granddaughters: Lea, Molly, and Zara and one great-grandson, Jack.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Sunday from 4 to 8:00 p.m. at the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Augustine’s Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover at 10:30 a.m. on Monday followed by entombment at St. Mary’s-Immaculate Conception Mausoleum in Lawrence.
