Rose Searles McDonald, 62, of Penacook, NH passed away peacefully on October 10, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a caring mother, nana, wife, sister and friend. Rose was born on December 26, 1958 in Londonderry, NH to the late Claire and Albert Searles. She is survived by her husband, Dan McDonald, daughter Tiffany Snow, of Concord, NH, her two grandchildren, Amelia and Olivia, and her four siblings, Elaine Dalton of Hooksett, Brenda Cote and her husband Richard of Hooksett, Lucille Dionne and her husband Robert of Goffstown, NH, and Brian Searles and his wife Nancy of Topsfield, MA.
She worked many years at Mailways, and most recently, at Mack’s Apples, where she followed her father’s footsteps, dedicating herself to the farm. She was an incredibly hard worker, but she relished the opportunity to relax on the beach with her toes in the sand, or poolside soaking up the sun. Rose was a very dedicated grandmother who loved family traditions. She spent many afternoons making wonderful memories with her granddaughters baking cookies and countless sweet treats.
Following cremation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday October 29, 2021 at 10:00am in St. Jude’s parish, 435 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Gilcreast Road, Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition.
Don’t think of her as gone away
Her journey’s just begun,
Life holds so many facets

Just think of her as resting

In a place of warmth and comfort

Can really pass away.
And think of her as living
In the hearts of those she touched
For nothing loved is ever lost
And she was loved so much.
