Steve Tornberg, 75, of Derry, NH, passed away on October 10, 2021, at Merrimack Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. Steve was the loving husband of the late Patricia Tornberg. He was born in Roxbury, MA, February 2, 1946, and was the son of the late Henry and Mary (Freiburger) Tornberg. Steve was also the step son of the late Mary (Stringer) Tornberg. Steve was raised and educated in Roxbury, MA and was a longtime resident of New Hampshire.
Steve served in the US Air Force from 1963-1967 and was a Vietnam veteran (1967). He was a technician, production manager, business manager and project manager with Digital Equipment/Compaq/Hewlett Packard for 39 years.
He is survived by his brothers, Robert Stringer and Thomas Tornberg of Boston, MA as well as his niece Danielle Pfeil and her husband Dave and their children, Addison and Joseph, and his “adopted daughter”, Faith St. Gelais and her husband Matt and their children, Broch and Rease. He also leaves his extended family, Jason Fish and his children, Brandon and Elizabeth.
Please NO flowers. In lieu of flowers Steve would appreciate any donations be made to the NH Veteran’s Cemetery.
Following cremation, a private committal will be held by the family and closest friends at the NH Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry is assisting the family with arrangements.
