Alberta Josephine (Lombardi) Coviello, age 71, life long resident of East Boston, passed away on Monday, September 27th, at Massachusetts General Hospital of Boston. Alberta was the cherished daughter of the late Amelia (Faiella) Lombardi. She is survived by her beloved husband John “DeeDee” Coviello, and his late parents, John “Tut” and Geraldine (Sarno) Coviello. Family was most important to Alberta, especially her grandchildren, and she loved to cook her famous chicken cutlets and gravy for them.

Alberta was the devoted mother of Stacie Coviello of Medford and her partner Michael Murphy of Peabody, and Amelia Coviello of Revere and her fiancé Robert Monteiro, and the mother-in-law of Ronald Hickey Sr. of Medford. She was the loving grandmother of Ronnie and Ryan Hickey, Dante Carrillo and his wife Jaclyn, Nicolas Carrillo, Mia Tecce, Mia Monteiro, Jason, Camryn and Madison Carrillo, Carly Klatecki and her husband Andre, Eniko Masszi and Kelly Stanton. Alberta was the dear sister of Linda Lombardi-DelGaizo and her late husband Mike, the late Marie Perillo and her late husband Alfonse, the late Vito "Butchie" Mastrangelo and the late Albert "Jr." Lombardi. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 4th at 1 PM in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with family from 10 AM through 1 PM. Services will conclude at Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
