CHICOPEE – Gail M. (Lauzier) Lonis, 64, of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, September 19, 2021. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She was born in Springfield on February 2, 1957, a beloved daughter of the late Conrad and Veronique (Perreault) Lauzier. She was raised in Chicopee and graduated from Dean Vocational High School in Holyoke. During her leisure time, she enjoyed cooking, reading and swimming. She was a volunteer and enjoyed spending time at the Chicopee Senior Center. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, Robert C. Lonis who was Called Home on April 16, 2011. She leaves her son, Casey Lauzier; her two sisters, Joyce Taylor of Richmond, VA and Kim Silva and her husband, Gary, of Ludlow; her two brothers, Alan Lauzier of Chicopee and Sean Lauzier and his wife, Sarah, of Belchertown; her three stepchildren, Dr. Kimberly Schubert, Donna Lonis and Robert Lonis, II; and her many nieces and nephews. Her funeral services will be private. There are no visiting hours. Her funeral arrangements are entrusted to the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
