Kathleen Ann Bugbee, age 88, of Brockton, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Brockton Hospital. Kathleen was the wife of the late Thurl U. Bugbee.
Born and raised in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Katharine M. (Evelyn) Forrester. She attended Boston Schools before meeting the love of her life and moving to the City of Brockton, where she resided for the past fifty years.
She was the Matriarch of her immediate family. People closest to her would describe her as a loving, caring, and thoughtful person. Kathleen was always very social and could talk to anyone in the room, expressing her humor through her feisty personality. Every spring you could find Kathleen using her green thumb in her garden, sharing her love of colorful flowers, ladybugs and butterflies with all who walked by.
In her free time, Kathleen liked to listen to music ranging from Elvis to Josh Groban and watch her favorite TV shows including CSI and Wheel of Fortune.
Mrs. Bugbee is survived by her children: Leslie Iverson and her husband Mike of Hernando, FL, Kenneth Bugbee of Brockton, MA and Virginia Bugbee of Torrington, CT; two siblings Evelyn Lovering of Brockton and David Forrester of Bridgewater; along with eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Joanne Holyoke, Dolores Jopling, Audrea Finch and Diana Castadoro.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, with a funeral service beginning at 6:30pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton.
Her committal service and interment will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, at 12:45pm, in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne.
