Shirley Ann Darling, 76

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Shirley Ann (LaCasse) Darling, 76, originally of Mansfield, entered into the rest of our Lord on August 30, 2021 at Madonna Manor in North Attleboro where she had resided for the past eight years. Born in Attleboro on February 2, 1945 she was a loving daughter of the late Marguerite (Narciso) Pellegrini and Henry LaCasse. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Curry, USMC.

Shirley grew up in Mansfield, was a 1963 graduate of Mansfield High School and served as a dedicated homemaker to her loving family.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Foxboro where she devoted her heart to her church and fellow members, who were her second family. She served in many capacities and callings within the church sharing her love and knowledge of the gospel to young and old.

Shirley loved everyone as was demonstrated by her cheerful smile and happy greeting, often accompanied by a big hug. Kindness and thoughtfulness towards others were evident in the way she lived her life.

Shirley enjoyed music, travel, dining out, movies, musical shows, & concerts. In more recent years with declining health and mobility issues she found pleasure in making homemade greeting cards which she would send out to friends for special occasions or just to send a message of cheer. While a resident at Madonna Manor she served on the residents' council and enjoyed playing bingo.

Her family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all the dedicated workers at Madonna Manor for the exceptional care and kindness given to Shirley.

She is survived by her loving children: Kristin Jamison and her husband Ken, Ronald Darling and his wife Brandy, Anthony Darling and his wife Tammy, Nathan and Annette Darling, all of Washington state. She was the dear sister of William Pellegrini and his wife Christine of Norton and the late Anthony Pellegrini. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend her funeral service on Saturday, September 11th at 10:00 A.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 76 Main Street, Foxboro. Burial will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Mansfield.
