COOKE, THOMAS of Dedham, born in county Galway, Ireland, passed away on Aug 27, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving and caring husband to Mary J. Carey Cooke of 52 years and wonderful father to Suzanne Collette and husband Robert and Sharon Flori and husband Jeremy. He was the adoring Papa to his 3 grandchildren, Thomas, Abriana and Kyleigh. He leaves behind 13 brothers and sisters, Mary Provencal and her husband Ronald, Peggy McDonagh and husband James, Peter Cooke, Ellen Cooke, Bridget McMahan, Martin Cooke, and 7 living in Ireland, Nancy, Noreen, Michael, Joseph, John, Patrick and Coleman and many nieces and nephews.
He was a member of carpenter Local 67 for 50 years and a devout catholic and usher at St. Mary’s Church.
Thomas and his family have been grateful for the excellent care and support provided to him over the past weeks by the doctors, nurses, and staff of the BI in Boston and North Hill in Needham.
Visiting hours at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 456 High Street, Dedham, on Monday, Aug. 30 from 4-7pm. Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s in Dedham on Tuesday, Aug. 31 at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Thomas may be made to the Stroke Foundation.
