Karen J. Jannuzzi, of Malden, formerly of Medford, passed away on Thursday, August 26th. She was 61. Born in Revere, she was the cherished daughter of Janice R. (Caferelli) and the late Ronald Jannuzzi.

Karen was a fun loving, outgoing and caring woman. She enjoyed hanging out with her friends, sipping on an ice cold martini, listening to 1980’s music, especially the band Aerosmith. Karen was even lucky enough to be able to meet Steven Tyler, their lead singer. Karen loved spending time at the beach soaking up the sunshine and feeling the sand beneath her feet. She was extremely proud of her Italian heritage and enjoyed dining out in the North End.

Karen was the devoted mother of Alex F. Jannuzzi and his loving partner Melissa. She was the dear sister of Ronald, Steven, Scott, Vincent and Michael Jannuzzi. She was the loving aunt of Tania, Isabella, Mariana, Nicholas, Anthony, Jamier, Exzyvian and Alaysha. She was the good friend of Steven Catino and Gina Venezia. She leaves behind her furry companion “Caponey Woney”. She is also survived by many loving family members and friends. A celebration of Karen’s life will be held on a later date.
