CHICOPEE ~ Constance B. “Connie” (Brisbois) Pare, 89, of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, August 22, 2021. She entered into Eternal Life at Sixteen Acres Healthcare Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on September 28, 1931, a daughter of the late William and Antonia (Paradis) Brisbois. She was raised by her beloved uncle and aunt, Leo and Yvonne (Brisbois) Vincelette. She graduated from Rosary High School in Holyoke and moved to Chicopee in 1950. She was employed at F.W. Sickles in Holyoke, Springfield Wire and the Steiger’s Department Store in downtown Springfield. Most of all, she was a devoted wife and mother who took great pride in taking care of her home and her family. She was a longtime communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and soul mate, Leonard A. “Red” Pare who was Called Home on November 21, 2016. They were married at Immaculate Conception Church in Holyoke on November 23, 1950 and were blessed with over 65 years of happiness together. She leaves her two loving sons, Brian L. Pare and his wife, Barbara, of Chicopee and Wayne A. Pare and his wife, Michelle, of Suffield, CT; her five cherished grandchildren, Andrea Williamson and her husband, Derek, Alicia Valentine and her husband, Tommy, Sean Pare, Joshua Pare, and Nicole Pare and her fiancé, Matt Guilmette; her four cherished great-grandchildren, Drake, Ethan, and Noelle Williamson, and Sadie Valentine; her dear brother in law, Donald O. Pare of Chicopee; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended family members. In addition to her parents, husband, and uncle and aunt, she was predeceased by her dear cousin who was like a sister to her, Jeanne Tellier; her dear sisters in law, Rita Hebert and her husband, Woody, Loretta Pare, Marci Lupien and her husband, Roland, and Dolores Pare. Her family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. There are no visiting hours at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
