Robert B. Burns, of Tewksbury formerly of Malden, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, August 10, 2021 in Boston at the Brigham & Women's Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 58. Robert was the beloved husband of Joanne (Lucia) Burns with whom he shared 32 years of marriage. Born in Malden he was the son of the late William W. and Vera (Gott) Burns, Sr.

Robert was raised and educated in Malden and was a 1981 graduate of Malden High School. He worked for over thirty years as a talented master plumber for the F.A. Williams Mechanical Contracting Company of Belmont. When not working, Robert enjoyed spending time in the outdoors of the North East, fishing, hunting and skiing. His greatest joy was his family and nothing made him happier than to be surrounded by those he loved.

In addition to his beloved wife Joanne, He is survived by his Sons; Robert Burns, Jr. and his wife Colleen of Rockland, and Michael Burns of Tewksbury. He was the loving grandfather of Cameron Robert Burns. Cherished brother of Barbara Neagle and her husband George of Farmington, ME and the late William Burns. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews.
