Therese Marie "Terry" Rogers

SPRINGFIELD - Therese Marie "Terry" Rogers, 62, of the Forest Park section of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Monday, August 9, 2021. She passed into Eternal Life at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Limestone, Maine on May 8, 1959, a beloved daughter of Deacon Francis D. Rogers and Lois A. (Abare) Rogers of East Longmeadow. She was raised in East Longmeadow, graduated from East Longmeadow High School in 1977 and had lived in Springfield for many years. She was employed for over 30 years as a school bus driver and instructor for First Student in Springfield. During her leisure time, she enjoyed spending time with family and shopping and was always known for being just a tad bit late for things. In addition to her beloved parents, she leaves her loving fiance, Francois E. Gaumond of Springfield; her beloved children, Debra M. Osagie and her husband, Mark, and Sarah A. Jones, all of Springfield and Michael D. Jones and his wife, Dascha, of West Springfield; her cherished grandchildren, Aliyah and Jazmin Gonzalez, Annajeze Jones, Tianah Ruiz, Sarai Lanier, Mylah and Ariana Jones, Michael Jones, Jr. and Vanya Williams; her cherished great grandson, Kairo Mercier; her dear brother, Paul D. Rogers and his wife, Tamara, of Escondido, CA; her dear sister, Catherine J. Rogers of East Longmeadow; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous friends and extended family members. She was predeceased by her dear sister, Elizabeth A. Scarpa who was Called Home on May 30, 2010. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Saint Paul the Apostle Church, 235 Dwight Road, Springfield, MA 01108. Her Burial will follow the Mass at Saint Aloysius Cemetery, 1273 Berkshire Avenue, Indian Orchard, MA 01151. Her family will receive friends on Friday, August 13, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107.
