CHICOPEE – Jean George Boule, 95, of the Chicopee Falls section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Thursday, July 29, 2021. He passed into Eternal Life at Willimansett Center West in Chicopee surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Springfield on July 25, 1926, a beloved son of the late Osias and Alma (Cadieux) Boule. He was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Cathedral High School, Class of 1945, and was a lifelong resident of the city. Immediately following high school, George enlisted and served his country in the United States Army during World War II and attained the rank of Sergeant. He received the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, the Philippines Independence Ribbon, and the World War II Victory Medal. Following his military service, he returned home and was employed for 42 years at Savage Arms Industries in Westfield and retired in 1988 as the Superintendent of Maintenance. He was a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Aldenville and a longtime communicant of the former Saint George Church in Chicopee Falls. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and his many friends. He leaves his beloved wife and soul mate, Eleanor V. (Fleury) Boule. They were married on September 30, 1950 at the old Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee and were blessed with over 70 years of happiness together. He also leaves his three loving children, Richard F. Boule and his wife, Deborah, of Acton, MA, Rachel A. Lindsay of Chicopee, and Raymond J. Boule of Towson, MD; his five cherished grandchildren, Ben Boule and his wife, Laura, Melissa Uccellini and her husband, Anthony, Marcel Boule, Brian Boule, and Elizabeth Kowalczyk and her husband, Richard; his four cherished great-grandchildren, Henri Boule, and Niccolo, Gemma, and Leo Uccellini; his two dear sisters-in-law, Annette Langevin of Chicopee and Estelle Langevin of Virginia; and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and extended members of the Boule and Fleury families. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his dear brother, Robert Boulay and his wife, Lorraine; his dear sister, M. Martha LeHouiller; and his three dear brothers-in-law, Robert E. LeHouiller, Edwin M. Langevin, and Theodore Langevin. His Funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 10:30 a.m.), followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. His Burial with United States Army Military Honors will follow the Service at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday August 3, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
