Obituary

Patricia Ann “Trisha” Stockbridge, age 78 of Brockton, formerly of South Boston, died July 10, 2021 at Heights Crossing in Brockton after a period of failing health. She was born and raised in the St. Margaret Parish section of Dorchester, and was a 1960 graduate of Msgr. Ryan High School. Patricia spent two years with the Sisters of Charity of Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Patricia worked at the Boston Edison Co. and retired as assistant to Human Resources Director after 37 years of service. She was a member of the Castle Island Association and volunteered at St. Brigid’s Church and the Quincy Soup Kitchen. She was selfless and generous to a fault and was always looking out for everyone else. She made frequent deliveries of food to the Carmelite Sisters in Roxbury.

In her free time, Patricia enjoyed trips to Foxwoods, Twin Rivers and Las Vegas. She also enjoyed reading Harlequin Romance books and watching Boston sports and golf.

Patricia was the sister of Carolyn Czarniak and her husband “Jack” of Brockton and the late Willis, Paul and Ralph Stockbridge She also leaves a sister in law, Patricia Stockbridge, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank sincerely Compass Memory Care at Heights Crossing for their loving care and compassion for Patricia.

Visitation will be held at St. Brigid Parish 845 E. Broadway, South Boston, Friday, July 16, from 9:30-10:30am with a Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Burial to follow in Mt Benedict Cemetery, W. Roxbury. Donations may be made in her name to the Carmelite Monastery, 61 Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Roxbury, MA 02119-3399.
