Antoinette (Lolos) Judycki

WEST SPRINGFIELD – Antoinette “Ann” (Lolos) Judycki, 83, of West Springfield and a former longtime resident of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, July 11, 2021. She passed into Eternal Life at the Western Massachusetts Hospital in Westfield after suffering a long journey home resulting from Alzheimer’s. She was born on April 26, 1938 in New York City, the oldest of five children to the late Harry T. Lolos and Mary (Vaselacopoulos) Lolos. She was raised in Springfield and lived in the Hungry Hill and Forest Park sections of the city. She attended Liberty, Van Sickle Junior High School and graduated in 1955 from the former Springfield Technical High School. She was previously employed as a coder for the Insurance Company of North America in Springfield, was a stay-at-home mom and a part-time waitress for the former Abdow’s Big Boy Restaurant in Springfield, a former Teacher’s Aide for the West Springfield Public Schools, worked at the Card Gallery in Westfield and was last employed as a bookkeeper and receptionist for Command Performance and later Rock Locks Hair Salon in Westfield. During her leisure time, Ann was an avid reader and enjoyed working on crossword puzzles. She loved the summer and also enjoyed cooking, being a homemaker for her family, and taking care of her pool. She loved taking photographs and making photo albums and talking on the telephone with her sisters and brothers. Most of all, she was a wonderful woman who adored her family and her many friends. Active in her Orthodox faith, she was a longtime communicant of Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Springfield where she was a member of the Ladies Philoptochos and a longtime Glendi volunteer. She leaves her loving husband and soul mate, Raymond N. “Jud” Judycki. They were married on July 28, 1957 at Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Springfield and were blessed with nearly 64 years of happiness together. She also leaves her two loving sons, Stephen A. Judycki and his wife, Teresa, of Wilbraham and Gary M. Judycki and, Cara Judycki, both of Westfield; her four cherished grandchildren, Cristina Judycki, Elizabeth Judycki, Chloe Judycki and Zachary Judycki; her two dear brothers, Theodore Lolos and his wife, Linda and George Lolos and his wife, Mary, all of Feeding Hills, her dear sister, Karen Connelly and her husband, Edward, of West Springfield; her two dear brothers-in-law, John Yacavone of Springfield and Patrick Judycki and his wife, Karen, of Liverpool, NY; her dear sister-in-law, Ann Franklin of North Swanzey, NH; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous friends and extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her dear sister, Dorothy Yacavone. Antoinette will Lie in Repose on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. which will be followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 2320 Main Street, Springfield, MA 01107. Her Committal Service will follow at 1p.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001. Her family has requested that memorial donations be made in her memory to the Saint George Ladies Philoptochos, 22 Saint George Road, Springfield, MA 01104.
