Rosemary A. Dolan, age 83, of Norton, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 9, 2021 at the Marian Manor in Taunton.

Born in Taunton, MA on September 22, 1937, she was a loving daughter of the late James and Muriel (Gilbert) Dolan.

Rosemary grew up in Raynham and Norton. She was a graduate of Norton High School and futured her education, graduating from Stonehill College. Prior to retiring, she was employed as a Registered Nurse at the Life Care Center of Attleboro.

Rosemary was a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Norton, where she served as a former Religious Education Teacher and volunteered at the churches Dugout Youth Center. She enjoyed raising her sons and being a special friend to the children of the Norton Community, who respected and loved her dearly.

Along with Norman Briggs, she was a founding member of Norton Little League and also acted as a scorekeeper for her son’s games. She was also a founding member of Norton Cub Scout Pack 27, who were recipients of many gold medals. Rosemary served on the Norton Recreation Committee and also enjoyed playing golf.

She is survived by her devoted sons: Michael L. Williams and his wife Gina of Marblehead and Ronald L. Williams and his wife Kay of Avon Park, Florida. She was the sister of James Dolan of Arlington, John Dolan of Raynham, Stephen Dolan of New Hampshire, Michael Dolan of New Hampshire, Susan Griffith of California, Jean Emsley of Taunton, Sheila Dolan of Carver and the late Kathy Mello. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, July 16th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp Street (Off Route 140, Taunton Avenue) Norton.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 17th at 9:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 1 Power Street, Norton. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Street Cemetery in Raynham.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Rosemary’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
