Anna R. (Gianino) Trovato passed away peacefully in the care of her loving family on Wednesday morning. She was 84. Born and raised in the West End, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Anna (Spinale) Gianino. Anna grew up on Hale Street in the West End and graduated from the Blackstone School. She worked for many years at Marion’s dress as a seamstress and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Association. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many, Anna was devoted to her family. She also loved to dance and frequently went out ballroom dancing. She often joked that she wanted to come back as a Ziegfeld Girl or a Rockette, in her next life. A talented seamstress, she always kept up with the latest in fashion design. Anna had a warm and welcoming personality with a generous spirit. In her spare time she crafted paper butterflies from colorful paper and gave them to family and friends.

Anna was the beloved wife of the late Thomas A. Trovato and the late Salvatore Pizzuro. She was a devoted and loving mother to Catherine A. DePriest and her husband John of Medford, Diane Trovato of Stoneham, and Thomas A. Trovato, Jr. of Medford and his late wife Barbara Jean Elizabeth Collins. She was a loving and proud grandmother to Raleigh, Rhianna and Thomas III. The dear sister of Gloria Serrano, Charles Gianino and the late Josephine Giliberto, she also leaves many dear nieces and nephews.
