Henry H. Pitts, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2021. He was 86 years old.
Henry was a United States Army Veteran and a longtime employee for NITCO of Wilmington. He was a longtime member and past president of the Italian American Citizens Club of Malden, past president of the Organization of Clubs in Malden, and a longtime coach for Malden Little League.
Henry was the husband of the late Donna A. (Cardarelli) Pitts. He was the loving father of William Pitts of Lowell, Michael Pitts and his wife Nancy of Wakefield, and Donna Marie McWilliams and her husband Daniel of Billerica. Henry was the dear brother of Lenny Pitts and his wife Donna of Pelham, NH, and the late George Pitts and his surviving wife Gloria of Somerville, and the late James Pitts and his surviving wife Mary of Rockland, MA. He was the cherished grandfather of Alexandra Pitts and her fiance Chris Shields, Jeffrey Pitts, Michael Pitts Jr. and his wife Katie, Catherine Pitts, Christina, Daniel Jr., and Leah McWilliams and her fiancé Craig Kelly. Henry was the brother in-law of Pauline McGurin and her husband Dick, John Cardarelli and his wife Corine, the late Gerard Cardarelli and his surviving wife Teresa, the late Joseph Cardarelli and his surviving wife Nina, the late Ann Mahoney and her husband Joseph, and the late Tina Zampitella and her husband Richard. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Henry’s life will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden on Friday June 11th at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. (Please Go Directly to Church). Visiting hours will be held at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Thursday from 4-7pm. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
