Obituary

Mr. Howard Evan Denmark, 66 of Cottonwood, AZ, passed away on May 30, 2021 following a long battle with depression. He was born in Syracuse, NY, and lived most of his adult life in Massachusetts until moving to Arizona a year ago. Music was his life. Evan started with playing in high school, with local rock bands. He earned a degree in music from the University of Cincinnati. Evan brought joy to audiences with his beautiful tenor voice while performing in operas, community theater, and karaoke. He was a caring, giving person, always willing to help someone out. Evan enjoyed many family vacations to York, ME and North Conway, NH. He had endless love and was so proud of his two children. Evan was pre-deceased by his parents Howard Denmark and Mary Margaret (Moyer) Duncan. He will be greatly missed by his dear friend and former wife Cheryl Denmark of North Andover, their son Ethan Denmark of Jacksonville, FL, daughter Deanna Merrill and her husband Kincaid Merrill of Londonderry, NH as well as countless friends across the country. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Evan’s memory to two causes that he held dear mental health and music.
