Ronald A. DelGreco, age 64, of Medford, passed away, Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital. Born in Medford, he was the beloved son of Rosa (Pacitto) DelGreco of Medford and the late Mario DelGreco.

"Ron" as he was affectionately known to his family and friends, was raised and educated in Medford where he attended Medford Public Schools. He went on to further his education at the former Boston State College where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology graduating in 1979. He was also a proud member and brother of the Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity.

Ron retired after many years of dedicated service as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service.

In addition to his beloved mother, Ron leaves behind his brothers; John DelGreco and his wife Norma of Pelham, NH, Anthony DelGreco of Lowell, Michael DelGreco and his wife Cheryl of Salem, NH, and Paul DelGreco and his wife Karen of Medford. He was the proud uncle of Katelyn Singelais of Londonderry, NH, Courtney DelGreco of Salem, NH, Maria DelGreco of Washington, DC, and Luke and Rory DelGreco both of Medford. Ron was also a beloved brother-in-law, nephew, cousin, and friend to all who knew him. Some of those friendships have lasted nearly sixty years.

Ron's favorite hobbies were collecting sports memorabilia and deep sea fishing, but he also cherished spending time with his nieces and nephews freshwater fishing and bowling. Ron was an avid Boston sports fan, particularly enjoying his beloved Patriots. Ron loved playing cards and always looked forward to playing poker with his group of card playing cohorts.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours at the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday, May 22nd, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 11:30 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions in Ron's memory may be made to the American Heart Assoc., PO BOX 417005, Boston, MA 02241 or to the charity of your choice.
