Kristina Michele Papathanasiou (Knapp), 75, a long-time resident of Lincoln, RI died on March 25th after a short illness.
She was predeceased by her parents Joseph F. Knapp and Jacqueline Paquin Knapp, as well as her grandparents Violette L. Paquin and J. Hector Paquin, former Secretary of State of Rhode Island.
Born in Woonsocket, she attended St. Ann's parochial school
and graduated from Presentation of Mary Academy in Hudson, NH.
She studied at Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA.
Michele was a certified medical technologist at Woonsocket Hospital for many years. She also worked in clinical trials and performed lab work for public and private firms. She had a green thumb, was a voracious reader and gifted at needlepoint. She had a great laugh and a quick wit.
She leaves her sisters Leslie and Alexie Knapp of Woburn, MA, her very dear friends Maureen and Michael Marks of Woonsocket, and many longtime family friends.
Her funeral services will be private.
