Cheryl A. (Gagnon) Allen of Fairhaven passed away at the age of 61 after a crazy brave battle with cancer. She leaves behind her 4 sons: Kirby Allen and his wife Poly Guo of Burbank, CA, Scott Allen and his partner Maggie Barry of Westport, Bowen Allen of Fairhaven and Hayden Allen of Dartmouth; her brother and 2 sisters: David Gagnon of Bradford, RI, Donna Gagnon of Reno, NV and Linda Lage of Swansea. She also leaves her 2 nieces and nephew: Janice Gagnon of Fairhaven, Jennifer Silva of Westport and Steven Gagnon of Fall River; her friend of 50 years: Roberta Rousseau and her husband Paul of New Bedford; her precious Schnoodle “Zulu” and her grand-dog “Aggie”.
Cheryl was a regional roller skater and participated in several national competitions. She was a computer programmer for many years, later transitioning to becoming an Elementary School Teacher. Her greatest love in life had been her 4 sons. Her other hobbies and interests were refinishing furniture, being near the ocean, reading, crocheting and ancestry. She loved to travel with her best friend Berta.
Cheryl loved animals and believed they are truly the most amazing thing put on this earth sop in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the ASPCA or your local animal shelter.
A Funeral Mass to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday, April 12, 2021 at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Parish, 951 Stafford Rd. Fall River, MA 02721 followed by inurnment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
