Elizabeth (Grande) Gidare, of Revere, formerly a resident of Medford for 60 years, passed away on Friday, March 26th. She was 90. Born and raised in Boston’s North End, she was the cherished daughter of the late Francesco and Marianna (Mercurio) Grande.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Elizabeth was devoted to the care of her family. She enjoyed being with her family members and friends. In her earlier years she worked as a seamstress, making men’s suits. As her family came along, she was primarily devoted to their care. In her later years she was very proud to work at the famed Mystic Bakery in Medford Square and got to meet and make many friends over the years she worked there. She was also a devoted member of St. Francis Parish.

Elizabeth was the beloved wife of the late Leo A. Gidare. She was the devoted mother of
Joanne Budge and her husband Gary J. of Pennsylvania, Mary-Ann Marino and her husband Richard T. of Medford, and Elizabeth Sorgi and her husband Lawrence, of Marblehead. She was the loving grandmother of Richard T. Marino, Jr., and his wife Jessica, Michael P. Marino and his fiancée Jessika Page, Matthew J. Marino and his wife Stacey, Anthony Sorrentino and his wife Sarah, Alexandra Sorgi and her husband Ryan Fairchild, and Mark Sorgi. She was the loving great-grandmother of Lily, Grace, Julia, Caterina, Gennaro, Vincenzo, Cash and Jackson. She was the dear sister of Cecelia Serio of Revere, and also leaves her aunt Josephine Toscano of Revere and her sister-in-law Maria Aloisi of Lynnfield.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited attend Elizabeth’s funeral mass to be celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford on Thursday April 8th at 11:30 AM followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Social distancing protocols will be in place during all services.
