3/26/2021

Vincent Buttaro, age 87, passed away peacefully at the Carney Hospital supported by the love of his family on Friday March 26, 2021. Born and raised in East Cambridge, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Assunta (DeGiacomo) Buttaro. After high school, Vincent served in the Army during the Korean War. A talented athlete from his youth, he excelled at baseball and was a member of the famed Barnyard League. He continued playing softball well into his fifties as well as making a name for himself in local bowling leagues. Vin was a proud member of the Teamsters, Local 25, and drove for Roadway Express for many years. Mostly he was a great family man and friend.

A long-time resident of Medford and recently of Hull, Vincent and Frances had a happy life together, raising their four children, working hard and enjoying life. Vin loved time with his family, eating out, going to concerts and eventually spending plenty of time in West Palm Beach, Florida. He really enjoyed time with his grandchildren and was definitely a proud papa and had a special place in his heart for his grand dog Zoey.

Vincent was the beloved husband of Frances (Pepe) Buttaro. He was a devoted father to Doreen Certusi of Medford, Toni Pucillo and her husband Joseph of Medford, Vincent Buttaro Jr. of Hull, and Karen Buttaro of Medford. He was a loving papa to James Michael Certusi, Jacquelyn Buttaro and her partner Jacob, and Robert Margosian. He was the dear brother of John Buttaro and his partner Rhonda MacGiver of Hull. He also leaves his grand dog Zoey.
