Viola Vangel age 94 of N. Easton, formerly of Quincy, died March 18, 2021 at Southeastern Rehab & Skilled Care Center after a period of failing health. She was born and raised in Southbridge, a daughter of the late Vangel and Evanthia (Lazo) Pietro, Albanian immigrants, and the late Christo Bushe.
For many years Viola lived in Quincy. She had worked at American Optical in Southbridge and retail stores in Boston.
She loved taking day trips, sightseeing and long walks. Viola will be remembered as a pleasant, patient, and friendly lady whose faith was a very important part of her life.
Viola is survived by three generations of many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Constance and Spiro Bushe, Sophie George, Peter Vangel, Henry Bushe, Olivia Bicki, Nick Vangel and John Bushe.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday April 9, 2021 at 10:30am in St. Edith Stein Church 71 East Main St., Brockton. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Masks and social distancing must be observed in church.
