Ellen “Helen” Schrameier (Carrick) of West Roxbury, formerly of Galway, Ireland passed away peacefully on Monday, March 22, 2021 at the age of 92. Loving wife of the late Alfred. Predeceased by 15 brothers and sisters, their spouses, a nephew and grandnephew. Beloved aunt of Dr. William & Rose Herterich of Galway, Terry and William Fahey of Duxbury, Mark Lyon of Dedham, Sean and Patricia Lyon of Norwood and Ann and Joseph Bethoney of Medfield. Cherished grandaunt of 14. She also leaves behind many friends and neighbors who were so kind and helpful to her in her later years. Her family also wishes to acknowledge the loving end of life care she received from her “Glam Squad.” Helen touched the lives of all who knew her with her kindness and sharp Irish wit, and she will be sorely missed.
Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, West Roxbury on Friday, March 26, 2021. Visiting hours at 9:00 am immediately preceding the funeral. Funeral mass at 10:00 am at St. Theresa of Avila Church, 2078 Centre Street, West Roxbury. Interment at 1:15 pm at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
