William R DiFonzo of Medford passed away on Thursday, March 18th. He was 62. Born in Malden, he was the cherished son of the late George and Marilyn (Zizza) DiFonzo. William was kind hearted, polite, and generous to others. He loved to spend time with his family during the holidays, especially Christmas. William loved gifting his nieces and nephew toys and cards full of money.

William enjoyed listening to music especially 1970’s rock. He taught himself to play the guitar and bass. When he was not spending time with his family and jamming on his guitar and bass, you could find him riding all around town on his bike. It didn’t matter what the elements were he was out and about.

William was the cherished son of the late George and Marilyn (Zizza) DiFonzo. He was the dear brother of Johnna Hardy and her husband Kevin. He was the loving uncle of Dustin, Caroline and Elizabeth, and is also survived by many loving cousins.

A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, on Thursday, March 25th, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours have been respectfully omitted. Social distancing protocols will be in place during all services.
