Barbara C. Branin, 52, of Fall River, formerly of Westport, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was the longtime companion and fiancée of David Arruda of Fall River.
Born in Fall River, daughter of Roger Branin and his wife Mary Ann of Westport and Barbara C. (Medeiros) Massie and her late husband Roy Massie of Westport, she had lived in Westport for many years prior to moving to Fall River. She was a very giving person who loved her job as a CNA and caring for others, especially the elderly. She loved cooking, bowling, dancing and was always the life of the party. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family, her dog "Tippy" and her cat "Kiki", but most of all she loved spending time with her daughter.
Including her companion and her parents, she is survived by her daughter: Devyn C. Morrissette of Fall River; 2 sisters: Lisa Yokel and her husband Kevin of Westport and Lorri White and her husband Jay of Tiverton; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, March 1, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Home from 5-8 P.M.
Funeral services will be private.
