Geraldine F. Forgeron, age 78, of Quincy passed away February 17th. Beloved mother of Roger W. Forgeron, Jr. and his wife Dee of FL and Denise D. Lasoff and her husband Robert of Milton. Sister of the late Lorraine Sousa. Loving grandmother of Kimberly Forgeron of FL, Allen Lasoff of Milton, Arielle Lasoff of Quincy, Karisa Lasoff of Milton, and Shaina Lasoff of Milton. Funeral services are private.

Geraldine Forgeron was nothing short of a survivor. With angels peering over her shoulders, she pushed her way through the many challenges of life.
Gerry was an independent mother of two children whom she cared for deeply. She worked day and night to make ends meet; but no matter the circumstances, she always put her children’s needs first.
When her family expanded to include four grandchildren, Gerry was ecstatic. Gerry evolved into Grammy: an incredible baker, an arts and crafts master, a dream interpreter, and the best babysitter. She loved her grandchildren more than anything, forever cherishing the moments they shared together.
As a little girl, Gerry designed and custom-made her own toys for her and her sister to play with. A self-taught crocheter, she inspired those around her with her incredible stitches and patterns. She enjoyed drawing, sewing, embroidering, and the occasion knitting. Gerry always looked forward to leading her weekly crochet class, in which she was able to spread the joy of her crafts with friends and family.
A master in the art of baking, Gerry cooked up the most delicious desserts. Fudge, turtles, chocolate lollipops, and gingerbread cookies were just a few of her specialties. Everything she made was always beautifully decorated with seasonal sprinkles and iced to perfection. She shared her treats with those around her, bringing plates of sweets to her weekly card games and bingo sessions. Gerry loved spending time with the other residents of her building; she frequently hosted parties for everyone to enjoy.
Geraldine was always a phone call away. She loved to chat and was consistently willing to lend a helping hand and an open ear. If you ever needed a shoulder to lean on, hers was always available. Now, you can find her leaning on her angel’s shoulder. May she rest in peace.
