He was the baby brother to Milton, Jr. and Karen. When Bruce was 6, the family was transferred when his dad became superintendent of a refinery in Hilly, LA. He thrived growing up among the woods, fields, and pastures around Ruston, LA. Oh, the tales he would tell!! He graduated from Ruston High School in 1961. He served in the US Army from 1962-64. Bruce and the boys proposed to Signe March 4, 1975 and they were married August 1, 1975. It was a great ride whether they were touring on their GoldWing, cruising, RVing or tootling around in the 1959 Studebaker Transtar pick-up. After 25 years, he retired as maintenance supervisor for Ventura Regional Sanitation District in June, 2001. He enjoyed singing in the church choirs of Ventura First United Methodist Church and Church of the Foothills.
