BEDFORD, N.H.: Linda E. Phoenix, age 80, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Linda grew up in Weston, MA, daughter of John and Irma and graduated Weston High School class of 1958. Linda attended UNH as an Occupational Therapy major. She was the loving wife of Wayne G. Phoenix for 41 years. Wayne preceded her in death as well as their daughter Lisa Phoenix and Linda’s brother, Dick Rudell.
The focus of her life was always her family. She was a wonderful mother, homemaker, worker in sales, graphoanalysis, kindergarten aide, licensed daycare provider, she was active in politics, sewed beautiful dresses by hand and was a wonderful gardener. At the age of 60, she went back to school to become a CNA and had the highest grade in her class. Linda’s family remembers her sweet spirit, love of children, fun antics, talent for cooking and entertaining, poise, grace, and her love of the beach. We are grateful to have been blessed by such a beautiful woman.
Linda had a strong faith and trusted in Jesus. She is a member of the Trinitarian Congregational Church of Wayland. She is a former member of the Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Concord, MA and the Presbyterian Church of Cape Cod where her husband, Wayne, was an elder. Since moving to Bedford, NH she enjoyed attending Bethany Covenant Church.
Linda is survived by her sister, Leslie Wilkes (Tim) of Calistoga, CA; daughters Elizabeth Perkins (Mike) of Bedford, NH, Katherine Miele (Dan) of Framingham, Jennifer Phoenix of Marlborough, and son Timothy Phoenix (Melissa) of Hampton, NH, her 10 grandchildren, Amanda, Lauren, Bethany, William, Megan, Emily, Marysa, Michaela, Madeline, Avery; and her many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held (outdoors) at Lakeview Cemetery, 80 Commonwealth Rd (Rte. 30), Wayland on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 12:00 pm.
Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Trinitarian Congregational Church, 53 Cochituate Road, Wayland, 01778.
