Obituary

Cpl. Eduardo “Eddie” Armendariz, U.S. Army, entered into the hands of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the age of 55. Eddie was a loving father, son, brother, and friend. He was born in El Paso, TX to Humberto and Carmen A. Armendariz on August 4th, 1965. He earned a Masters in Business Administration and spent the majority of his career as an Environmental, Health and Safety Consultant. His favorite pastimes were spent outdoors: traveling, camping, collecting historic and multicultural artifacts but mostly enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. He valued equal education for all and taught law enforcement and business courses at local colleges in El Paso. During his time in service, Eddie was awarded the following: Army Commendation Medal(2), Army Achievement Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters (3), Army Good Conduct Medal(3) , National Defense Service Medal (2), NCO Professional Development Ribbon (2), Army Service Ribbon (3), Overseas Service Ribbon (3), Army Lapel Button (3), Expert Badge (Rifle M-16) (2), EXP QUAL BAD M-16, SPS QUAL BAD H/G.
Eddie is survived by his eldest son, Daniel Armendariz, daughter, Andrea Avalos, brother, Beto Armendariz, sisters, Christie C. Armendariz and Ida Armendariz, father, Humberto Armendariz, mother, Carmen A. Armendariz, nieces, Mercedes Tedder and Victoria Guzman, cousin, Julie Kocian. He is preceded in death by his youngest son, David Eduardo Armendariz. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to everyone at Assisted Healthcare Services for their attentive care during his battle with cancer. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at Jospeh P. Reardon Funeral Home on Monday, February 8th at 10:00 a.m. Due to city regulations, this will be a family-only private funeral service. Flower arrangements may be sent to JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura, CA 93001. The witness of interment will be held at the Los Angeles National Cemetery, 950 S. Sepulveda, Los Angeles CA 90049 on Tuesday, February 9th at 11:30am. Flower arrangements may be sent to JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura.
