Carol A. (Sprigg) Stanley, age 78, of Raynham, formerly of Taunton, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2021 at the Life Care Center in Raynham. She was the beloved wife of Robert W. Stanley, Sr., to whom she was wed for forty-four years.
Born in Attleboro, MA on September 24, 1942, she was the loving daughter of the late Howard and Norma (Cooney) Sprigg.
Carol grew up and was educated in Attleboro. She made her home in Raynham for the past two years and was formerly of Taunton.
Prior to retiring, Mrs. Stanley had worked as a House Manager for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Carol was a member and former water aerobics teacher at the Taunton YMCA, as well as a former member of the Attleboro Rod & Gun Club. When younger, she enjoyed Scuba Diving and attending Stock Car Races.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her devoted children: Tracy Salvenson of East Wareham, Lisa Robinson of Taunton, Robert W. Stanley, Jr. of Middleboro and James R. Stanley of Weymouth. She was the dear sister of Kathy Hagger of Florida and the late Marjorie Melody and Howard Sprigg. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services, along with burial, at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne will be held privately at a later date.
