Frederick E. Dyer, a longtime resident of Woburn passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington. He was 62 years old. Fred was born on February 4, 1958 in Chelsea, Massachusetts. He was the beloved husband for forty years of Patricia (McLaughlin) Dyer.

In addition to his beloved wife Patricia, Fred is survived by his children, Katherine Lima and her husband Durval of Medford, Brian P. Dyer and his wife Joy of Quincy, and Sean Dyer of Billerica. He was the loving Grampy of Caitlin and Connor who were a great joy in his life. Fred was one of six children born of the late Philip M. Dyer, Sr. and Alice (Martineau) Dyer. He was the brother of Paul Dyer of Burlington, Aimee Dyer of Maine, Marty Dyer of Everett, and the late Philip and Vincent Dyer. He is also survived by many aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Fred was a loving, caring, giving man who was always there for people when they needed. He volunteered his time for multiple charity events. Fred was a proud member of the Teamsters Union Local 25 of Boston and worked as a truck driver for many years. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed fishing and was also a member of the Irish American Club of Woburn. His greatest joy was his family, they were always his number one priority, making sure they had everything they needed. Fred was always happiest when he was surrounded by those he loved and will be greatly missed by his family and extended family members that he truly cherished.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Monday, January 18th, from 4 to 6 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, Tuesday, January 19th, at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. All attending must wear a face covering and adhere to strict social distancing protocols. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Fred's memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
