Aida (DiNillo) Perella passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 5th at the age of 88. Born and raised in Italy she was the daughter of the late Giovanno and Antonia DiNillo.

Aida was born and raised in Borello, Abruzzi Italy. She came to the United States and lived with her family in Boston’s South End in the early 1950’s and eventually settled in Medford. Aida was devoted to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Aida enjoyed cooking, talking with friends and looked forward to spending time with family.

The beloved wife of the late Dovilio Perella, who passed away in 2002, Aida was a devoted mother to Frank Perella and his wife Cindy of Saugus, Emily Blaney and her husband Michael of Danvers, Joanne Valente and her husband Nicholas of Tewksbury. Aida is lovingly survived by her grandchildren: Amanda, Krystina and her husband Timothy, Stephanie, Marisa and her husband Shawn, Laurena, Nicholas, Mikalya and three great grandchildren James, Brooks and Emilia. A special acknowledgment to her sister in law Ilia Perella, her nephew Frank Perella and his family of Medford, her niece Rosana Perella and her husband Christopher Previte and family of Tewksbury and many other nieces and nephews.

Ma your courage, strength and tenacity was admirable. You may have shed a tear or two, but always picked yourself up and persevered. You gave us the tools and showed us the importance of faith, love and family. Your love for family was immeasurable. Your legacy lives on through the rock-solid foundation you created. Thank you for all the wonderful years.

Due to the current health pandemic and out of concern for everyone's safety funeral services will be private.
