February 4, 1935 – January 5 , 2021
Phyllis Giove, “Phil”, Beloved wife of Edmund Giove and loving mother of Therese Giove died peacefully with loved ones at Kaplan Family Hospice House on Jan. 5 2021 following an unexpected bout of Guilaine – Barre Syndrome. Beloved daughter of Frank and Eleanor Colarusso, Phyllis was the cherished sister of Emelia (Mimi) Chiesa and her Brother Anthony (Cal) Colarusso. She was a precious aunt to several nieces and nephews across multiple generations on both sides of the family.
Previous to the quite sudden disease onset, Phyllis was an active member of the Forestdale Park assisted Living Community in Malden where she lived with her husband Eddie for the last 2 years. Before relocating back to New England, Phyllis spent 6 wonderful years in her “dream home” in Boynton Beach Florida. Phyllis loved the ocean and she and Eddie spent many wonderful years vacationing Oceanside at St. Pete Beach and many Caribbean islands. They always had FUN wherever they traveled and loved fine food and enjoyed music and dancing. Our family grew up vacationing at Cape Cod every summer and we have cherished loving memories by the seashore.
Phyllis was known for her kindness, generosity of spirit and pure graciousness. She had a wonderfully pleasant personality with a warm heart. EVERYONE loved her and she will be missed by so many. She was devoted to her family and especially her husband and daughter who were so lucky to have her.
Immediate services will be private. A celebration of Phyllis’s life will be planned for June, 2021.
