Obituary

KANE Thomas F. Of the Longfellow House, Roslindale, formerly of Jamaica Plain and Mission Hill, passed away on December 29, 2020. Beloved husband of the “love of his life” the late Katherine (Gavin) Kane. Loving son of the late John and Anne (Griffin) Kane, originally from County Galway, Ireland.

Devoted brother of Mary Merner and her late husband Cornelius of West Roxbury, Robert Kane and his wife Mary of West Roxbury, Barbara Murphy and her husband John of Roslindale, Anne T. Barry and her late husband John of Dedham, and the late John Kane and his late wife Lucille, Michael Kane and his late wife Cathy, Martin Kane, and Philip Kane. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

U.S. Army, Korean War Veteran. Longtime dedicated employee of the City of Boston.

Due to the covid pandemic the Funeral Mass at St. Theresa Church, West Roxbury will be private. However, the Funeral Mass will be live-streamed and available for viewing through the St. Theresa website sttheresaparishboston.com on Tuesday, January 5th at 10am. Interment with military funeral honors will follow in the St. James section of St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made in Tom’s memory to the Oncology Department at Brigham and Women’s Hospital 116 Huntington Ave, Third Floor, Boston, MA 02116 or online at bwhgiving.org.
