David “Dave” Balian, lifelong resident of Medford passed away on Friday, December 25th. He was 61. Born in Somerville and raised in Medford, he was the cherished son of Annie “B” (Donahue).

A natural people person, Dave loved everyone, and they loved him. No matter how long or where and when you met Dave you were instantly connected. Dave was everyone’s best friend. His sense of humor, caring personality, kind disposition, and his ability to help anyone made him one of a kind. When Dave walked into a room his presence alone would light it up, on top of making everyone laugh.

Dave’s biggest passion was being a father. He loved spending time with his two sons David and Danny. Dave was a dedicated husband, a great dad, a loving brother and friend. He will be greatly missed by all.

Dave was the beloved husband of Ann Marie “Ree” LeBlanc Balian. He was the cherished son of Annie “B” (Donahue), and the devoted father of David Balian and his fiancée Ashley Rachadi, and Danny Balian. Dave was the dear brother of Lynne (Balian) Balanoglu and Steven Balian. He was the loving uncle of Zafer Balanoglu, Spencer, Trent and Evan Balian. Dave is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

On behalf of Dave’s family all funeral services are private. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
