FALL RIVER… Francis “Frank” L. Hamer, 92, of Westport, passed away December 24, 2020 at Catholic Memorial Home.
He was the loving husband of Beatrice “Bea” M. (Hetu) Hamer of Westport to whom he had been married for 71 years.
Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Lester R. and Florence (Anyon) Hamer and had resided in Westport since 1955.
Mr. Hamer was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during WWII as a Seaman 1st Class. He had worked as a Truck Driver for over 30 years for the former Gamache Trucking. He was a communicant of St. George Church in Westport and was a member of the Teamsters Union. Frank loved traveling with his wife, playing cards, bowling and spending time with his family.
Along with his wife, survivors include his daughters: Susanne Lane (husband: James) and Patricia Audette (husband: Henri); his 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Emily Cabral, Florence Homol and George Hamer.
