He was an avid reader and stored most of his book stash in the trunk of his car. He said you were never alone if you had a book. He picked up other interests during his retirement including collecting coins and photography. He would often share his coins with family and friends. He also took time to build his computer skills which led to trading stocks. Edward loved to frequent Fannie`s Diner and later the Swanton Street diner. He met his friends for breakfast many times during the week discussing current affairs and solving problems of the world; an activity he truly enjoyed. He was a man of great faith and a loyal friend. He would see the good in people and would always give people the benefit of the doubt. He made friends easily. An example, he once met a man on a park bench in Boston. They soon became good friends even travelling together to Israel to make final arrangements for the gentleman`s` wife. He was loved by many and his family will miss him dearly.
