FOLEY, Donald E. of West Roxbury, formerly of Brighton passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 18, 2020. Beloved husband of 61 years to the late Jean L. (Kelly) Foley. Loving father of Donald E. Foley Jr. and his partner Roseanne Owens of West Roxbury, Mary Ellen Perry and her husband Michael of West Roxbury, Peter K. Foley and his wife Janet of Laguna Woods-California, Timothy J. Foley of West Roxbury, Edward A. Foley and his wife Lisa Padelino of Leominster, and the late John F. Foley. Devoted grandfather of Sara, Mara, Donald III, Samantha, Matthew, Derek, Shane and Amanda. Cherished great-grandfather of Steven, Jason, John, Frances, MacKenzie, Donald John, Bella, William and Sean. He was pre-deceased by his brother Leo Foley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Donald proudly served his Country in the U.S. Navy during WWII on the USS Enterprise. He taught at English High School for 21 years, was a member and employee of the L Street Community Center, South Boston and a friend of Bill W for over 42 years. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, WEST ROXBURY on Wednesday, December 23rd at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Name Church at 11 o’clock.
