Rebecca A. “Becky” Neal, 61, formerly of Wayland, died on December 9, 2020 following a courageous battle with Glioblastoma at her residence surrounded by the comfort and love of her family.
She was born in Newton on July 2, 1959 the daughter of Marjorie E. (Gardner) Neal and the late Elwood A. Neal, Jr.
Becky was the devoted and loving mother of Jonathan A. Gagnebin of Wayland, Eric S. Gagnebin of Natick and Scott B. Gagnebin of Mansfield. Beloved partner of Kevin Waters of Mansfield and sister of David C. Neal of Falmouth and Cathy E. (Neal) Williams of Merrimack, NH.
Becky spent her formative years in Needham and Fairfield, CT and graduated from Andrew Ward High School with the Class of 1977. She graduated from Worcester State College in 1982 and was a Social Worker with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the Department of Developmental Services retiring in March of 2020.
She resided in Wayland for many years where her boys were raised and educated before moving to Mansfield. Becky enjoyed vacationing in Maine with her boys and always had a positive outlook on life and a smile on her face. She found the best in everyone she met and her house was always open to friends and family. She will be fondly remembered and loved by all the lives that she touched on her life’s journey.
At Becky’s request, visitations and services have been omitted. Her boys will remember her as she asked by spending time at Portland Headlight.
